Episode 433,   Apr 08, 2020, 11:14 PM

One new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the Greater Geelong council area this afternoon, bringing the city’s total to 57.

It was originally reported there had been no changes in local cases today however an update from the Department of Health on Wednesday afternoon confirmed the inclusion of the new case.

A technical error has been blamed for the incorrect data being released.

Across the wider region there has been no change in total cases with nine along the Surf Coast, 27 at Wyndham and just one in the Golden Plains.

Total cases recorded across the state overnight is also unchanged at 21 for a total of 1,212.

We have been asked to stay home this Easter weekend.

So Geelong... STAY HOME!

Now imagine...

You are stranded on the other side of the world during this pandemic.

You are an expat in the United States. At time of writing, the country have reported almost 429,000 cases of covid-19 and almost 15,000 deaths.  Almost half of those are in New York alone.

That is the reality for Aussie Marcus, living in San Francisco.  He spoke to Stampsy and Josh on the Departure Lounge.
