Social injustice in the US is rightly making the headlines - but what about inequality and discrimination closer to home as well? In this special episode of Waking the Red Weekly, Mitchell, Michael and Jeffry talk to Mike Newell and Dr. Tej  Sahota from the TFC BIPOC fan coalition, about their efforts to make BMO Field a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

They discuss the issues surrounding politics and national anthems in sports - and explore the dangers of ‘slactivism’ whereby brief gestures can easily run the risk of leading to little or no real change.

Rounding up the week’s big events on the field there are shout-outs to Kadeisha Buchanan who lifted her 4th consecutive Champions League trophy for Lyon, and Jonathan Osorio who racked his 250th appearance for TFC.
