Sonny Smith

Sonny Smith came to Auburn in 1979. In an 11-year career, he coached Auburn to its most success in the NCAA tournament taking the Tigers to the Big Dance for their first time. Sonny's career began as a high school basketball coach, then to the college ranks as an assistant. His second head coaching stint was at Auburn. Since his days as a coach, he's worked in radio and television and now sits alongside Rod Bramblett and Brad Law on the Auburn Sports Network for Auburn Basketball broadcasts. Sonny was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2007 and along with his wife Jan, they sat down for this edition of the Talking Tigers Podcast.
