A Kent woman who suffers from a disorder which means she can't stand certain sounds has been speaking to kmfm about how it affects her life.

Misophonia usually develops during childhood and means certain noises like tapping or heavy breathing trigger a strong emotional response.

It got so bad for 28 year old Alex from Canterbury, she had to avoid working in an office.

It's thought more people are struggling with it during lockdown as they're stuck at home and can't easily get away from noises they hate.
