In this episode, Jill Wine-Banks and Victor Shi are joined by Chris Lu, former Executive Director of President Barack Obama's 2008 transition team, to discuss what usually happens during a transition team, what key players are involved to ensure a smooth transition between outgoing and incoming administrations, and the importance of an orderly transfer of power both at home and abroad. In addition to being Executive Director of President Obama's transition team, ​Chris is also a former ​United States Deputy Secretary of Labor​, Assistant to President Obama, and ​White House Cabinet Secretary. Chris is currently a senior fellow at the University of Virginia Miller Center.
