June 1st to June 7th 2021 is National Volunteers Week, where we celebrate the important work that volunteers play in helping charities carry out their vital work.

NVW is even more important this year, as we look at how volunteers have had to alter the way they carry out their work, and in some cases move to a different role, because of the ever changing restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Matt Stringer, CEO of RNIB, and Andy Moyes, Volunteer Co-Ordinator at the IvyBridge Transcription Centre, to find out how the charity has supported it's volunteers in new roles and how they are looking forward to the ending of restrictions.
