Season 8, Episode 14,   Jun 02, 2021, 11:29 AM

Joining me on this episode are Top Instructor Tom Patri, 4 Time winner on Tour Chip Beck, Top US Kids Instructor Michelle Holmes, and Top Golf Course Designer Bill Bergin.

Tom Patri shares his thoughts on Phil Mickelson's big win, Phil's place among the all-time greats, coupled with Stewart Cink's 2 wins this year, do Old Guys Rule, plus putting tips to help us make those 3-5 foot knee knockers that can make or break our rounds.

Chip Beck may be the most positive person on the planet and it comes through in our conversation. Hear him sharing memories from playing in the 1991 Ryder Cup at Kiawah Island, which is remembered for being the War on the Shore. Hear about how he and Paul Azinger faced off against Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Olazabal and the gamesmanship that went on during their matches. We also hear about Chip's close calls in majors, how that prepared him to win, and his breakthrough first victory at the 1988 LA Open.

Michelle Holmes talks about the joy of teaching young kids the game, the importance of parental support, and the impact our facial expressions can have when our kids hit poor shots. What we are communicating to our kids will stick with them and impact other aspects of their lives. Michelle is a treasure in our game and why comes through in everything she does. Hear our conversation here.

Bill Bergin updates us on his course design projects including the great work he did at McLemore, which will continue with a second 18 that promises to be even better than the first. Bill gave me advice for how to play the course during my upcoming annual guys' golf trip there. We also hear his insights and memories on Pete Dye's design work, what it was like qualifying for and playing in the 1980 US Open at Baltusrol and the 1984 Open Championship at St. Andrews; when his 3rd round 66 tied for low round of the tournament.
