Thursday is The Wake Up Call's Pet Project...Today it's one we have spoken of before, Red.
Having already been adopted twice and returned through no fault of his own Red is in much need of love and willing to give his all to becoming a much loved family member.
At an estimated 3 years of age, Red found himself surrendered here at BARC due to a change in his owners circumstances and is now looking for a very special home located in Bendigo to assist with him settling into a new way of living and continuing to build his self-confidence. Although very nervous upon arriving at BARC, Red has fast warmed up to staff and now looks to his favourite people for reassurance. Full of affection and always up for a cuddle and a play Red is much loved by all he meets in the Shelter. Looking for a home with no other dogs and only teenage children if any. Red is not suited to live with cats or other small animals. Red will require daily on lead exercise, and can not be taken to dog parks or exercised off lead due to his nervousness and tendency to flee when scared. All though guarded of his own personal space Red is not aggressive and is certainly a lover not a fighter. Well suited to a single person looking for the company Red needs a quiet home where he can be inside with you enjoying life, going out for walk twice a day. He needs someone who will sit with him and just hold his paw, a stable home with routine is initially required for Red to assist with his adjustments to family life. This super clever boy picks things up very fast, he is well trained and will do most things when asked once comfortable. Meeting new people is not always Red's thing and this must be remembered when introducing him to others, he is a slow retiring type that takes a while to warm up.
