Listeners it’s Sherlock Holmes and NOT Watson today – Nigel Bruce is off….sick I presume. But we have an interloper, a stranger…but an actor nonetheless that tries to work within Nigel’s stylings. And boyo, you just realise how much you miss the “hmphmhphpm what?” and “aahhha yessss” of the deep seated and ever lethargic Nigel Bruce.

And boyo, you just realise how much you miss the “hmphmhphpm what?” and “aahhha yessss” of the deep seated and ever lethargic Nigel Bruce.
You get to really appreciate how much Watson brings to the table when he’s not around, or when someone else is playing him, and I knew straight away that our guy Watson was no Nigel Bruce, but a still, a nice attempt.
The episode also was heavily damaged but significantly repaired – when you here odd blips and blops that’s a reduction in damaged audio right there, and that would audio, would normally blow out an ear drum if not reigned back to more sane levels of audio.
