We Talk Tour Rivalries, the Evolution of the Golf Ball, Choosing the US Ryder Cup Team, A Caddie's Life, Clutch Shots, & Overcoming Adversity...

Season 8, Episode 24,   Aug 18, 2021, 11:00 AM

In this episode, I'm joined by one of the all-time great ball strikers Tim Simpson, PGA Tour Caddie Kip Henley, former Arizona State All-American Tim Stankowski, and World Golf Hall of Famer Dennis Walters.

Tim Simpson shares stories about his college roommate Chip Beck, plus when he first was presented with a medal wood, the evolution of the golf ball, and how often he actually had his A game.

Kip Henley tells us why a hole-in-one on a Par 3 doesn't count, which players he'd put on the US Ryder Cup team, and if Bryson DeChambeau's requirements of his caddie are over the top.

Tom Stankowski shares memories of his days at Arizona State and what he learned from his teammate Billy Mayfair. We also talk about his big win at the Canadian Tour Championship.

Dennis Walters reminisces about his college days playing at North Texas State and competing against Tom Kite, Ben Crenshaw, and Bruce Lietzke. We also hear about the 1971 US Amateur that he played in, the golf cart accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down, and how he recovered and had to create a new dream. Dennis also talks about his relationship with Jack and Barbara Nicklaus.
