Daisie Smith | AKA Beautys Big Sister on how she created her sisterhood as a beauty influencer + launched a business in lockdown
Episode 16, Sep 29, 2021, 05:00 AM
Learn from one of the UKs biggest beauty influencers
In this episode we sat down with Daisie to really unpick what it is like to be a beauty influencer and it's a brilliant conversation.
Daisie knew she wanted to work in media from a really young age - pretty much from when she watched Devil Wears Prada at the age of 14. After 5 years of working for a monthly beauty magazine, she decided to bite the bullet and quit her job to pursue her YouTube channel and it was the best decision she ever made.
A few years in, her following was growing and I was getting sent daily blogger mail packages. After reviewing an OPI collection, she was approached by the brand to become their UK Brand Ambassador and she has been their presenter on QVC for 4 years now.
During lockdown she decided to daily vlog, to keep myself busy and it was the best thing she had ever done - for the first time ever on my channel, what she was going through, so was everyone else watching. It brought her followers together and soon she created her #SistersTogether community. During lockdown I found myself wearing my pyjamas *alot* and thats where the idea for ‘Serena Days’ came about, and it was after reading ‘The Secret’ that she truly believed she could make this dream into a reality. A luxury pyjama brand, that is made from beautiful soft bamboo; with the option to have your initials monogrammed onto the tops as I love everything personalised.
We cant wait to hear what you think!
