Malcolm Smith, 10.17.21 - Aussie Fortean Blogger / Writer / Researcher - Apparitions, Paranormal, Anomalies
Oct 14, 2021, 04:40 PM
Toss out a report deemed completely beyond the pale? No. Malcolm Smith squirrels it away for future reference - on the chance a corroborative account will turn up. No matter how strange - 'reality' presents us with the possibility there is more where that came from.
Apparitions: Tulpas, Ghosts, Fairies, and Even Stranger Things. Amazon.
Book Summary: One in ten people claim to have encountered a ghost, yet science refuses to acknowledge their existence. However, it turns out that ghosts are by no means the only, or most mysterious of apparitions. Now, an author with a background in science has sought to uncover the parameters of this bewildering field.
Author Bio: He received his M.Sc. in zoology at the University of Queensland, and worked for 30 years as a public servant, while spending his vacations travelling around the world. He describes himself as an "amateur polymath" ie he has a wide interest in history, anthropology, science, and in particular, scientific anomalies.

We focus on the book and the blog in our interview - Malcolm posted about his 2 UFO sightings on the blog - when he opened the site in 2011.
*Borneo, 1981. It was Sunday 19 July, and I was travelling up the broad Mahakam River in Kalimantan, or Indonesian Borneo in a 17 metre houseboat.
*Brisbane, Australia, 1968. It was Saturday evening, 7th December. I don't know why I was outside after dark, but it must have been about 7.45 pm, when I looked up and saw what appeared to be a paint smear on the sky.
Here's the post with the rest of the story. Link.
Enjoy!
