New Initiative Gives Volunteers Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity to Work Their Remote Jobs from Exotic Island
Episode 237, Dec 06, 2021, 04:10 PM
Humankind is a bold initiative in partnership with Island Conservation and the Robinson Crusoe Island community that gives volunteers from around the world a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience first-hand how to make a long-lasting difference with a remote island community while working from one of the most remote offices in the world enabled by Lenovo tech.
Volunteers will take their hybrid work to the island and come together through several life-changing restoration projects on Robinson Crusoe Island to help prevent the extinction of endangered species and support the local community on its journey to sustainability.
Supporting this initiative is a global study from Lenovo. It surveyed more than 15,000 people. It reveals the growing significance of remote and hybrid work for Gen Z and Millennials. In addition, the study spotlights an increasing desire for flexibility due to its benefits for individuals and society overall, including saving money, having more time for friends and family, and having a better work-life balance.
Robinson Crusoe Island and NGO Island Conservation are looking for nine volunteers with a range of different skills and specialties to volunteer their services for twenty hours a week. They continue to work their current jobs remotely from the island using the Lenovo tech space. To apply or learn more, go to lenovowfh.com.
