The Household of Stephanas

Though we know nothing of the family, Paul pays a great compliment to the household of Stephanas when he wrote, “They have devoted themselves to the service of the saints” (I Corinthians 16:15). How did they do this, especially considering they lived in a wicked place and were a part of a church riddled with problems?
