One of television history’s most beloved sitcom moms, Daphne Maxwell Reid, who played Aunt Vivian on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for three seasons, sat down with us virtually earlier this month. The star has been in the biz for decades. She started acting and modeling from a young age and became one of the first African-American women to grace the cover of Glamour magazine. Today, Reid is a respected artist and designer, and education activist. She filled us in on everything she’s been up to, including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion that aired on HBO Max last November, what it was like working with Will Smith, and how she and her famous husband Tim Reid have kept their marriage going strong for almost 40 years.
