Charlie & Joey (Young & Sober): Alcohol and Mental Health
Season 3, Episode 55, Apr 25, 2022, 04:20 AM
On the last Monday of every month, Over The Influence is being taken over by Joey Duckworth and Charlie Martina, two people in their 20s who've decided to ditch booze and live life alcohol-free.
In this episode, Charlie and Joey talk about alcohol and its affect on mental health. This is an area that they're both incredibly passionate about, and one that they believe isn't discussed enough in society. The episode starts with some research that Charlie has done in to the topic, talking about the link between mental health issues like anxiety and depression and alcohol.
They both also share incredibly personal experiences about their own mental health struggles, and please be warned that this episode does contain a discussion about suicidal thoughts - so if you'd prefer to skip this one we completely understand, the most important thing is that you look after yourself.
