The world-famous remains of an Ancient Roman city, tragically reduced to rubble by the explosion of Mount Vesuvius.

Hiking up Mount Vesuvius is one of the most popular activities in the area – Hiking experience not required.
The trail is about 4 km up and back, with a change in altitude of about 140 meters and an average slope of 14%; the trail reaches 1,170 meters above sea level.
