Managed Turkey Hunt at Peck Ranch Conservation Area

Join Living the Dream Outdoors Podcast host Bill Cooper and new found friend Frank Campa as they talk about their misadventures of turkey hunting for a week in the boundaries of the 23,000 acre Peck Ranch Conservation Area in southern Missouri.

Weather deterred many of the turkey hunters who drew into the managed hunt. Forty drew in, but less than a dozen hunters showed up, because of the persistent cold, rainy, windy weather. Cooper and Campa toughed it out. However, they spent a lot of time in camp cooking, eating, and telling stories from their lifetimes of outdoor experience. Campa is a retired conservation agent, and Cooper is a 50-year veteran outdoor writer.
