“We think sometimes that poverty is only the hungry, naked, and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved, and uncared is for the greatest poverty. We must start in our homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” — Mother TeresaWhen we walk outside, we see homeless people sleeping on the streets – finding shelters in parks, benches, or even under the bridges feeling unwanted, unloved, and uncared. While picturing them out in your head, could you imagine the emotional trauma they are experiencing? The pain that they feel when we choose to turn a blind eye? How hungry, thirsty, and hopeless they are, and how much physical pain do they have to endure every day?If you see that this is the greatest poverty and that we have to start reaching out to these people, then you are a great person for having a very good warm heart. In this episode, we’ll talk about helping the homeless in healing their wounds with Michael Sean Wright, the founder of Wound Walk OC. His organization has been helping many unsheltered people because they believe that everyone deserves basic human care.
