Katie Jackson's U19 Australian Rowing Team campaign to raise funds for her seat fee.

Katie and her BCC crew have had success this rowing season 2021/2022 winning the Nationals in a coaxed 4 in both the U19 and school girls competition, a feat not previously done in Ballarat. From the 30th April to 8 May 2022, Katie went to Canberra to trial for the Australian Rowing team and was successful in making the Australian U19 Eight that travels to Varese, Italy from 4 July 2022 to 1 August 2022.
The seat fee (as Australian Rowing Refer to It) is $8000.
Each week, Katie also has to travel and find accommodation in Melbourne in the lead up so that she can make training commitments for this team on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. She completes her Year 11 studies online for school on these days.
We currently have a Go Fund Me campaign running to raise funds. We are If you are able to, we would ask that you promote/plug Katie's Go Fund Me on radio or share her link on your social media.
- This will help raise the profile and spread the word widely in the Ballarat community and beyond. This would be a way to keep the momentum going. We have currently raised approximately 30 percent of her fee. However with just five weeks to go, we need to stretch further than our friends and family.
