If you are planning a tea party in your street or maybe even a dinner party with friends to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee you may have some questions around tea party and dinner party etiquette.
Well don’t worry as Amazon’s Alexa and renowned etiquette coach William Hanson have teamed up to mark the Royal occasion and teach Alexa some of the rules around etiquette for formal parties and some facts about some of Britain’s oldest customs.
RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with William Hanson to find out more and ask those burning questions such as; whether when pouring a cup of tea should the milk go in first, who should be offered a cup of tea first or for a dinner party should the wine glass be by the knife or the fork, and if you do open up a bottle of port at the end of the meal why is it passed to the left rather than to the right, etc.
Don’t forget if you are planning a tea party or inviting friends round for a dinner party and have any questions about etiquette at all, do go to your Amazon device and ask Alexa who will be willing to advise.
