Nigel Jones: Walking Back To Happiness
Season 3, Episode 81, Oct 10, 2022, 04:39 AM
In this episode we chat to author Nigel Jones, who's book Walking Back To Happiness was published last month.
Nigel gave up alcohol in December 2020 and has been AF ever since. He talks about the mindset shift he adopted in the very early days of his sobriety - literally, when he very first started out - and how identifying as a non-drinker helped him to navigate his way into his new life.
Nigel ditched booze, and took up walking - and something that started out as a fun competition with his sister led him to start his 9km by 9am brand, and of course, has inspired also the title for his new book. He talks about how removing alcohol and taking up walking has changed his physical health, but more importantly for Nigel, he talks about how its affected his mental health - and how walking every day is meditation for him.
We were chuffed when Nigel recently joined our community after our chat, and he is already a really active member. We thank Nigel for his time for this podcast, and wish him every success with the book!
