A light exists in spring

"I chose the sound of children playing in the street in Paris, France and heard this as the sound of spring, not just in Paris, but here in New York City as well. Spring moves from the harchness of winter, days of rain and yet, the sound of birds returning to the city marking a rebirth, a chance to slow down and take in each new moment as a breath of fresh air. To tell this story further, I included a series of spoken word recitations of the following poems on spring:
Spring, Christina Rosetti
A Light Exists in Spring, Emily Dickerson
Sonnet 98, William Shakespear
In Just, ee cummings
"I approached this composition as a more minimalist, open concept using my horn and silence as the primary elements while utilizing the field recording both as is and recontextualized with the spoken word poetry acting as a guided meditation on life beginning anew marking the season of spring."
