Part 2 of the Desire Framework

Hi, I'm Heather Garbutt and I'm a calling in the One Love and Relationship Coach, and I'm here today to give you the roadmap to find true, committed romantic love.
Last week we went through the initials of desire, starting with the letter D, and that was really defining what you want in a relationship. All of the beautiful qualities that you would like to have for yourself and in that quality relationship, somebody who shares your values, who appreciates you, who can communicate with you is your equal in every way and many more. However you define that for yourself. Today we're going to do letter E, which is about being exact in really naming what you want, creating an intention for what you want.
So why would we need to do that?
It's really important to be clear for yourself that you have an image of exactly what you want and that you create an intention with a timeline by which you're going to have achieved that. It's a soul level promise to yourself. It's a heart level promise to yourself, and once you've made it, even if you change your mind with this part of yourself, the the rest of you will be walking towards that and creating opportunities in the world for you to fulfill the that desire.
So being exact and elucidating, setting an intention, and an intention is more than an affirmation. It's a real clear goal on that deep level, and we write it as if from the future. So for me, if I were single and looking for love, I would write something like It's March, 2024, and I am in the best relationship of my life with the man who fulfills my needs on every level and really enjoys doing so. That could be just something that simple and we move from there. Having that as your north star to create a rich, intense vision of that. And this is so you have the feeling level through your imagination and through embodied feeling of what that would be like for you.
So for me, if I was to think into that space, close my eyes and go within, I imagine myself today in a time sitting with my beloved holding hands at a a table, looking out at a beautiful view from an Italian terrace. We have a lovely glass of wine. White sparkling wine in front of us, and we are savouring each other, the warm air and the view. I can feel the warmth of his skin as we are palm to palm. I can feel the warmth of his heart and I can see the sparkle in his eyes. So if you have an image that tells you you've reached your goal, you've fulfilled upon your intention, what would it be?
