Sep 14, 2023, 10:30 AM
News staff writer Maggie Prosser discusses the story of Carrollton’s R.L. Turner High School, which has become a symbol for the drug epidemic in North Texas.

Turner problem, or a Carrollton problem, or a North Texas problem: Nationwide, the drug was involved in more than three-quarters of adolescent overdose deaths in 2021, and a quarter of cases involved fake pills. Deaths among kids 14 and younger are increasing faster than in any other age group.
