These Walls Can Talk: Ashmore Estates, Part Two | Guest Robbin Terry
Oct 17, 2023, 05:00 AM
Ashmore Estates was built in 1916 as a poor farm in Ashmore, Illinois, and later became a psychiatric hospital. It closed its doors in the late 80s and became a popular spot for people to sneak in and vandalize
At some point, someone wrote on the walls by the front entryway, “These walls can talk, open your mind and listen.” It’s the one piece of graffiti that the owner, Robbin Terry, didn’t cover up. It perfectly described the building. Ashmore Estates might seem empty, but there is a lot of activity within its walls. Just sit and listen…and the spirits will come to you.
Today on the Grave Talks, Part Two of our conversation about Ashmore Estates with the owner, Robbin Terry.
