Hybrid funds are mutual fund schemes that invest in a mix of asset classes, typically a combination of stocks and bonds. At times, they also take exposure to commodities such as gold and silver. The hybrid mutual fund category has seen net inflows of more than Rs 70,000 crore since April. Moneycontrol’s Abhinav Kaul talked to Chintan Haria, Principal Investment Strategist at ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, about why this category is in demand, which hybrid fund categories are getting more traction and how to select a hybrid fund.
