RadioStPete.comINSIDER news director Nanette Wiser sipped and dished with our new Coffee & Cocktail curator, Jarrett Sabatini, owner of Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails. In addition to the elegant bistro and garden patio, Intermezzo is host to the monthly Mezzo Market, St. Pete's largest monthly street market with boutique shops, vintage goods, handmade products, plants, food, drinks, and live DJ. The final market before the summer break is May 11.  “Growing up in an Italian-American family, I've learned to love hospitality and am passionate about creating quality experiences through food & beverage and fun pop-ups, especially the annual Miracle At Mezzo holiday-palooza. We talked about what’s trending in cocktails, housemade bitters, brews, bourbons and coffee, especially the Italian influence. Located at 1111 Central Ave., they are open 8am daily sometimes till midnight or later. Coming up on May 4 is the sixth Annual Kentucky Derby Formal 4-8pm and watch the Run for the Roses Live on their projector, enjoy an oyster pop-up by Lost Coast Oyster Co., live music, Mint Juleps + Derby Day cocktails. COCKTAIL OF THE MONTH – We drank a Thai Gimlet, a refreshing take on the classic using coconut oil fat-washed gin, white rum, basil eau-du-vie, makrut lime leaf, fresh lime, and thai bitters. Available after 5pm.
