Getting an Early Start to Head Start

For more than 30 years, DVUSD has worked hand-in-hand with Head Start– a program that has assisted more than 38 million children nationwide since its inception in 1965. Head Start provides early learning and development opportunities, health and wellness guidance, family well-being assistance, and family engagement. DVUSD’s relationship with Head Start is growing in correlation to the growing needs of our community. Beginning next school year, DVUSD will offer early Head Start at Constitution Elementary and Sunrise Elementary schools.
