"Sunshine Sisters" w/ Karen Carmichael 6-11-24: Jennifer Tyson, Sunken Gardens

Season 1, Episode 14,   Jun 10, 08:27 PM

Jennifer Tyson is Sunken Gardens’ Education Coordinator and historian, working with the public to share the importance of one of Florida’s few remaining historic roadside attractions. She is also a social media contractor for the Florida Wildflower Foundation. Both roles allow her to educate people about sustainable gardening practices. With degrees in History and Education, she taught for many years in Pinellas County, followed by a position leading public programs at the Tampa Bay History Center. Jennifer’s love of horticulture and preserving Florida’s natural lands and historic gems led her to Sunken Gardens, a place where her own family made many memories long before her tenure there. Jennifer was the primary curator of Sunken Gardens’ History Center which recently opened to the public. #sunkengardens #jennifertyson #tampabay #radio #stpete #stpetefl #radiostpete
