The church rebuild is cancelled, Ferrari screwed the pooch again. Two new Champions are crowned in F2 and F3, and Jonathan Rea took advantage of a resurgent Toprak to claim his 5th consecutive World Superbike title!

- Normal Service Resumes as Hamilton leads Bottas in Mercedes 1-2, while Ferrari implode under tactical mismanagement and radio dramas
- Vettel retires with MGUK failure - voted DOTD - miffed LEC finishes 3rd after SC intervention
- VER finishes 4th, ALB goes from pit lane start to 5th
- Both McLarens score, SAI 6th NOR 8th, PER 7th, MAG finally in the points for Haas again in 9th, HUL 10th after penalty
- RIC, GRO, GIO involved in L1 incident
- Both Williams retire - RUS with brake failure induced crash, KUB to save parts

- Then, in Race 2, Rea takes his 12th win of the season - and more importantly, his record-setting 5th consecutive WSBK title, vdMk 2nd, Lowes 3rd
- We probably should have seen it coming - but it bears repeating he went from 61 down on Bautista to Champion with two rounds in hand
