Edmond is a filmmaker, passionate community leader and seasoned political organizer from the Greater Tampa Bay Area, St.Petersburg. He brings more than a decade of experience in public service and non-profit advocacy. Known for his dedication to economic and racial justice, Jabaar has played a pivotal role in numerous impactful movements, voter outreach campaigns, policy advocacy initiatives, and community development projects.
A directly impacted community advocate, Jabaar is the President of the Childs Park Neighborhood Association and a former Executive Committee Member of the NAACP. His contributions to community building and public service have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Dreamers Award from the Bay Area Community Awards and the Men & Woman of Distinction honor from the Gathering of Women.
Jabaar’s works tirelessly to enhance , voter engagement and address social and economic disparities within Pinellas County . His efforts have been instrumental in restoring voting rights to over 1.4 million Floridians through Amendment 4, showcasing his commitment to empowering disenfranchised communities.

He has also served as Lead Field Organizer for the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign in Florida and held leadership roles within the SEIU Florida and the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition.

Wednesday June 19th, the iconic Tampa Theatre will host a one-day film festival in honor of Juneteenth.
