Anna Broshears and her husband, John, moved to Florida in 2012 and St. Petersburg in 2016 where they bought and restored a historic home. She holds degrees from Ball State University and Indiana University in Biology, Chemistry, and Cytology. For 30 years, Anna worked at the IU Health/Indiana University School of Medicine where she served as a Senior Cytologist and was an Adjunct Faculty member teaching cytology students, residents and medical students Cytopathology. She currently serves on the Board of the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association and is the Events Chair in charge of the HONNA Annual Yard Sale, Easter Egg Hunt, and the Children’s 4th of July Parade. She also serves on the Annual Candlelight Committee for the neighborhood. She is a past Board member of the Council of Neighborhood Associations where she served as Chair of the CONA Codes Advisory Group. She is a former Co-chair of the Education Committee for the Warehouse Arts District Association. And, currently serves on the Leadership Committee for CONA. Anna has an art studio in the ArtLofts above Florida Craft Art, 10 5th Street N. in St. Petersburg. She paints still life and large and small abstract and seascape paintings in both oil and acrylic. She and her husband have four adult children and a little rescue kitty named Shirley Ann.
