Why musicians need to think like entrepreneurs

Soraya Ashleigh is an independent singer/songwriter from Detroit, MI. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Cedarville University, and is using her musical training to create a new vibrancy of melodic structure and vocal technique to modern music. Being heavily influenced by jazz, classical, R&B, and pop music, she combines touches of each into her songs. Lyrically, Soraya taps into vulnerable, deep, and sometimes uncomfortable emotions as a way of facing her fears and giving her audience something to relate to.
