Federal Investigation into Diddy Focuses on Miami Hotel Amid Alleged Sex and Drug Trafficking Claims

The federal investigation into music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs over alleged sex and narcotics trafficking is now targeting a luxury hotel in Miami. Recently filed legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal that federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York have issued a subpoena, demanding detailed records from the hotel related to Combs and his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy.
The subpoena seeks a wide array of information dating back to January 2008, including reservation records such as check-in and check-out dates, room numbers, guest preferences, billing details, and room service charges. Prosecutors are also looking for emails, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and payment methods used, whether cash or credit cards.
Additionally, the investigators requested computer IP addresses, login details, copies of IDs, vehicle information, and surveillance footage from the hotel. These extensive data requests suggest that the authorities are trying to establish a detailed account of Combs’ activities and interactions at the Miami location over the past several years.
Since November 2023, Combs has been implicated in eight lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical abuse. The first lawsuit was filed by his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, professionally known as singer Cassie. This lawsuit was settled the following day, although the settlement details remain confidential.
A few weeks later, another lawsuit was filed by model Daphne Joy, who claimed that in 1991, Combs “intentionally drugged” her during a date in Harlem before taking her home and sexually assaulting her. At the time of the alleged incident, Joy was a 19-year-old college student.
Back in March, the allegations against Combs led Homeland Security agents to raid his homes in Miami and Los Angeles. These raids were reportedly conducted as part of the ongoing investigation into the trafficking claims.
Despite the mounting allegations, Combs has consistently denied any wrongdoing. His attorneys have described the lawsuits and their claims as “baseless” and “sickening,” asserting that they are nothing more than attempts to extort money from the wealthy music executive.
While Combs has not been formally charged with any crimes, sources told CNN in May that a federal grand jury in New York City might soon hear testimony from his accusers. This development could indicate that the Justice Department is considering seeking an indictment against Combs, a move that would significantly escalate the legal proceedings against him.
The federal investigation’s focus on the Miami hotel suggests that prosecutors are meticulously piecing together evidence to support their case. The requested information, particularly the surveillance footage and computer data, could provide crucial insights into Combs’ activities and whether they align with the allegations made against him.
As the investigation progresses, all eyes are on how the evidence gathered from the Miami hotel and other sources might impact the potential indictment against Combs. The case has garnered widespread attention, with many speculating on the possible outcomes for the hip-hop mogul whose career has spanned decades and includes significant influence in the music and fashion industries.
For now, Sean “Diddy” Combs remains under the intense scrutiny of federal authorities, with his legal team poised to continue fighting the allegations. The next steps in this unfolding saga could see further legal maneuvers or potentially significant charges, depending on the grand jury's findings and the Justice Department's actions.
