GOOD DEEDS: Puppy Love with Dogs Inc. Volunteer Jessica White

Season 2, Episode 110,   Sep 16, 03:52 PM

(9/12/2024) RadioStPete.com news director and host Nanette Wiser shines a light on Dogs, Inc. (formerly Southeast Guide Dogs) in this interview with Jessica White, a volunteer with the organization who got her next dog to train this past weekend. White has been involved with Dogs Inc since forming a Walk-a-Thon fundraising team in 2018. When her family was looking to add a dog to their pack, being a puppy raiser seemed like a logical next step. Jessica has been a puppy raiser since May 2022 and has raised three puppies. Floyd is a proud puppy parent; Riley and Dino are still in formal guide dog training. https://dogsinc.org

Jessica holds several volunteer roles in the local puppy raiser club:
Club Applicant Concierge - making connections with individuals interested in puppy raising and assisting them through the application process
Puppy Kindergarten Instructor - facilitating six sessions of basic skills with new puppies and their raisers
USFSP Puppy Love Club Partner - creating and maintaining involvement with USFSP faculty and students interested in having puppies on campus.
