The Big Malarkey Festival 2018
**The Big Malarkey Festival is Hull’s children’s literature festival produced by the Hull Library Service, held on a colourful tented site in East Park.**Last year (2017) nearly 8000 people came to the park to meet writers, illustrators, poets, performers and puppet-makers, and try their hand at all kinds of practical activities.This well-loved festival returns in June, opening to the public on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th.In this podcast festival director Ellen Bianchini, and local writers Joe Hakim and Norah Hanson, share some revelations about the exciting programme of activity and inspiration on offer.Find out more, and book festival tickets, on the website:[http://thebigmalarkeyfestival.com](http://thebigmalarkeyfestival.com)
