"Art's Alive" w/ Bill DeYoung: Nate Najar and Daniela Soledade 11-1-24
Season 2, Episode 206, Nov 01, 06:12 PM
Nate Najar was already a leading figure in Tampa Bay jazz when he met Daniela Soledade six years ago.
Since then, the St. Petersburg-born guitarist and the Brazilian singer/songwriter have been inseparable, both onstage and off, and their musical collaborations – both as a duo and with a band – have raised the bar, locally, on multiple levels.
Nate and Daniela recently returned from performances in Paris, and the U.K.’s Isle of Wight, where their sinewy and seductive bossa nova – both the Brazilian classics and their own compositions – won thousands of new fans.
Their one-on-one show is called Love & Bossa Nova, and it’s onstage tonight (6:30 p.m.) at Seven C Music, 535 22nd Street S.
The dynamic duo guest on today’s Arts Alive! podcast, talking about their illustrious histories – from Rio to St. Pete – their relationship, and what their music means to them.
Naturally, the program begins with a song. #stpetecatalyist #billdeyoung #natenajar #danielasoledade #artsalive #tampabay #radio #radiostpete #7CMusic
