Margo Hammond on Immersive Arts & Music w/Nanette Wiser

Season 2, Episode 213,   Nov 04, 07:07 PM

Arts correspondent Margo Hammond explores the new trend in arts, music and theater that pushes beyond the boundary of the stage and creates an immersive experience. She and Nanette Wiser talked about Vegas's immersive dome, the immersive Matisse experience, Hedwig: The Angry Inch at The Jannus, American Stage's Wierd in St. Pete and their Boyd Hill theatrical experience in nature last year (and again in 2025) with a nod to the holidays, when the American Stage venue will become Tinseltown.

Hammond talks about the wow factor of  the new Dali Dome immersive show, “Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon.” Over 50 years after the iconic album’s original release in 1973, celebrate and experience it while encompassed in 360 degrees of sight, sound and sensation. This experience offers—like Salvador Dalí’s art—a glimpse into creative worlds that are both remarkably insightful and fantastically unconventional.
The immersive show is available select Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from Nov 1 thru Dec 21, 2024. Tickets: https://www.facebook.com/events/858478449772829/858478456439495?ref=newsfeed
