What's Brewing Tampa Bay? Voodoo Brewing Co. Opens in DTSP

In this episode of What's Brewing Tampa Bay, host Nanette Wiser discovers a new craft brew pub just around the corner from studio. Voodoo Brewing Co. owner Bob Skepnek combines a decades-long passion for craft beer with his entrepreneurial drive.  As a resident of Lutz, Florida, Bob brings a unique background as an electronic design engineer and general manager, with over 30 years in the manufacturing industry, to his new venture at 220 4th St North in downtown St. Pete. He has been brewing his own beer since the 1980s and saw Voodoo Brewing as the perfect opportunity to make a career change when he and his wife relocated from Chicago to Florida...and he made sure that an authentic Chicago Bear slow roasted beef sandwich with sweet or hot peppers, topped with cheddar or mozzarella, is on the menu. Lots of tvs for sports, an arcade for gamers and a full bar open to the street make this a popular after-work hang-out. Sip the big brown ale or Belgian white; there are so many well-balanced brews and ciders to choose from. Especially delicious are the house smoked wings, beer mussels (chorizo and lime!)  and a garlic pesto pickle pizza with Voodoo's Voo-Dill seasoning.
