Braille 200: Championing Tactile Literacy - Marc Aufrant & Dr Amit Patel

To mark 200 years since Louis Braille invented his six-dot tactile reading and writing system braille, the RNIB is leading a year of celebrations with an event which was held at The British Library on Tuesday 26 November 2024 for invited guests where a panel of distinguished braillists will delve into the rich history of braille and debate its promising future too.
On the night of the event at the British Library RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Marc Aufrant from the Association Valentin Haüy and RNIB ambassador Dr Amit Patel to find out a bit more about what Braille means to them
