In this episode of LIVE LIFE BETTER, correspondent and USF journalism graduate student Jazmen Poole interviews University of Tampa's Dr. Meredith Clements on political issues and impact on women's health. Dr. Meredith Clements is an associate professor in the communication department at The University of Tampa. Dr. Clements specializes in health communication and public speaking in her professional settings. Her research uses qualitative methods to examine relational and political problems related to speech, gender, and healthcare organizations. She was the director of UT’s Center for Public Speaking and mentor’s students who were interested in leadership and organizational presence. Dr. Clements also has her research in political problems related to women’s health. Dr. Clements wants to shed light on the fact that most women don’t have the knowledge on the three phases of woman’s health. Those three stages are: menstruation, maternity, and menopause. Dr. Clements wants the importance of these three stages to be broadcast on how this is an issue affecting women’s health.
