In this episode of Historically St. Pete, Executive Director Rui Farias interviews guest Rick Vaughn, author and baseball historian who talks about Babe Ruth's arrival in St. Pete 1925 and his legacy.  Rick Vaughn spent nearly 40 years in the sports communications field including 31 years in Major League Baseball with the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays. He is currently a PR consultant for the Homeless Empowerment Program in Clearwater, FL and is the author of two books: 100 Years of Baseball on St. Petersburg’s Waterfront, How the Game Shaped a City” and “Tampa Spring Training Tales.”


Rui Farias is the Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Museum of History, which has  been sharing the stories of the Sunshine City for 102 years.
