Listen to what I am telling you

Some field recordings are harder to reimagine with because they are so multifaceted. This was one of those field recordings. The layers of the sound stood out to me, in particular-- each time I listened, I heard something new. For this composition, I leaned into altering the original recording as little as possible. This approach is also, maybe, a reflection on the layers of information contained within all forms of sonic heritage.
