James, JD to friends and family, was helping his friend move from Nevada to Mississippi.
Just past Kingman, Arizona on Highway 93, their trailer got a flat tire. Since James and his friend were driving separate vehicles, James stayed back with the trailer while the friend went into town to get a tire.
It would be almost 24 hours before his friend returned, and when he did, James and the truck were missing.
A series of 911 calls from motorists made the case even more baffling.
Strange clues would emerge during the investigation, but James remains missing.
