The homeschooling population in Connecticut is feeling like a scapegoat again after recent egregious cases of child abuse in our state. Recently, the Office of Child Advocate released a report that recommended tightening state oversight for homeschoolers. Now, groups like the National Homeschooling Education Legal Defense, an advocacy and legal group dedicated to defending the rights of homeschoolers, are pushing back on that report. We spoke about this with Attorney Deborah Stevenson who represents The National Homeschooling Education Legal Defense.
