Shroff is the associate director of clinical investigations and co-leader of the Gastrointestinal Clinical Research Team at the University of Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Center in Tucson. She also is a professor with tenure in the Department of Medicine, chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology for the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, and medical director for the Oncology Service Line with Banner Health. Spencer is a medical oncologist and director of the Phase 1 Program at the New York University Langone Perlmutter Cancer Center.
In the exclusive interview, Drs Shroff and Spencer discuss the evolving role of NALIRIFOX within the frontline treatment paradigm; the decision between standard first-line chemotherapy and clinical trial enrollment for patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer; and the importance of mentorship and leadership development for women in the field of gastrointestinal oncology.
