We're going live — and this session is about the two factual problems at the center of the Richard Allen case that Indiana's 94-page response brief simply does not solve.

The first is the van. The prosecution called it the detail only the killer would know. According to the defense's brief, surveillance footage and FBI cell phone analysis show that van arriving significantly after Libby German's phone had already stopped moving. The State says the paperwork wasn't filed correctly. Not that the data is wrong.

The second problem is the one the State never touches at all. According to the defense's appeal brief, Richard Allen told his prison psychiatrist he shot the girls. They were not shot.

Defense attorney Bob Motta is here to go through both of those problems live — what they mean legally, what they mean for the appeal, and what they tell us about a conviction built entirely on confessions from a man who was found gravely disabled during 13 months of solitary confinement and got the manner of death wrong.

Bring your questions. We're taking them.
