Kendra Duggar: Psychotherapist Analyzes a Conditioned Wife

Joseph Duggar, 31, is charged in Florida with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under twelve — prosecutors allege he abused a nine-year-old girl during a 2020 family vacation and allegedly admitted to it twice, once to the victim's father and once on a detective-monitored call. He has pleaded not guilty and was released on a six-hundred-thousand-dollar bond.

Kendra Duggar, 27, faces eight misdemeanor charges in Arkansas — four counts of child endangerment and four counts of false imprisonment — reportedly stemming from locks found on the outside of their children's bedroom doors. Their four children have been removed from the home. The Duggar family reportedly used the same practice a generation earlier.

In recorded jailhouse calls, Kendra told Joseph that losing the children was the hardest part. She told him they're her number one priority. And in the same conversations, she assured him that everybody still loves him — even if they're disappointed. She also informed him she'd hired her own attorney and told him not to trust anyone.
