Space unsettles us because it embodies the ultimate unknown: an infinite expanse of darkness, silence, and isolation. Its vastness, with incomprehensible distances stretching between worlds and stars, reduces human existence to something fleeting and insignificant. The hazards are relentless: lethal radiation, the suffocating vacuum, and the absence of warmth or shelter. It is an environment that resists comprehension, utterly alien to life as we know it, where the possibility of encountering something vast, strange, and unknowable lingers just beyond our reach… quietly intensifying our deepest fears of what lies beyond.

Today’s first nightmarish tale of terror is ‘The Sun is not a Star’, an original story by the wonderfully talented James Caligo, kindly shared with me via Dr. Creepen’s Vault so that I could narrate it here for you all, with the author’s express permission.

Tonight’s second macabre tale of deep-space fear and terror ‘Dead in space’, an epic work by Taxi Dancer, kindly shared directly with me via my sub-reddit and narrated here for you all with the author’s express permission.
